The Natural History Museum of Utah is a museum located in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The museum shows exhibits of natural history subjects, with an emphasis on Utah and the Intermountain West. The mission of the museum is to illuminate the natural world and the place of humans within it.

“The museum features ten permanent exhibits of natural history subjects, with an emphasis on Utah and the Intermountain West. It also features a rotating special exhibit gallery that hosts two to three different exhibits per year. The mission of the museum is to illuminate the natural world and the place of humans within it. The new building, named the Rio Tinto Center, opened in November 2011 and is located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains four miles from downtown Salt Lake City. The museum features stunning views of the entire Salt Lake Valley. The Natural History Museum of Utah opened its doors to the public in October of 1969. It’s part of the University of Utah.”
